What is AwareFare? AwareFare is our annual major fundraiser during which participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds from the day of the event to The Union County Chapter of the Autism Society of NC. This year we are kicking off the event, and Autism Awareness Month with a 5k Run and Family Walk! Why we do AwareFare? To raise awareness about autism and provide support for local families. Most of the money raised from this event provides grants to educators and camp scholarships to those who have or those who impact the lives of children on the autism spectrum in Union County. A small portion of the proceeds support our monthly educational and support meetings, communications, and advocacy.

The Prom Project is held once a year at the beginning of prom season.

This event is held to offer free prom dresses to students who may not attend their prom due to the cost of a dress.

All junior and senior high school students who will benefit from a free prom dress are welcome to attend.

Pre-registration is required. Students under 18 years old must be accompanied by a female adult.
